About Us

Public Interest Pictures is a non-profit educational documentary production company that makes hard-hitting, fact-based, pull-no-punches documentaries in response to government policies that are antithetical to the public interest. Our films are used to empower issue-specific NGO’s working with their grassroots members to help them create critical mass awareness of a problem we’ve documented, to build their membership, and to enable them to raise funds using our films. All funds raised by the NGO’s stay with them. Each of our films has been released theatrically and on a major television channel to critical acclaim; every one of our films has been widely broadcast. Our films are major winners at film festivals, and have been nominated for the Emmy Award. As one of a very few organizations that have experienced this kind of sustained multi-pronged success, we are committed to continuing work we consider critical to our country’s future.  MORE >>
